Iran is prepared to reinitiate atomic talks with Washington provided that it is handled with "dignity" and "respect", Tehran's top diplomat has stated.

The Iranian diplomat said exclusively dialogue produced results, and revealed recent overtures had originated from intermediaries to resume negotiations with the Trump administration. He claimed Iran possessed no secret atomic facilities, and Tehran had not yet reached a point to authorize the UN nuclear inspectorate to inspect attacked atomic facilities for security reasons.

Navigating a Complex Path

The foreign minister is treading a difficult course since Iran wishes not to be perceived to be proceeding from a situation of vulnerability, and he emphatically stated that Iran had emerged stronger in military terms and psychologically from the Israeli-US attack on its nuclear sites in June.

He was speaking at a defense forum in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "an inalienable right to refine atomic fuel on home soil that it will never give up" – the primary cause of the stalemate in the prior discussions.

Prior Talks Unexpectedly Ended

The previous five rounds of discussions between the United States and Iran were brought to an abrupt and acrimonious end on 12 June when Israel, with Washington's assistance, attacked Iran's enrichment centers in a fortnight-long engagement that ended with Donald Trump claiming the locations had been obliterated. Afterward, European countries exercised their right to restore international penalties, but Iran asserts they have not had a significant effect.

Perfect Agreement Proposed

Tehran representatives said they felt they had reached a "magic solution" to the nuclear fuel concern in previous talks, when it was settled an local partnership with American involvement could process nuclear material. Both sides would have been able to claim victory since local refinement would have continued and the US could be confident that Iran's enrichment initiative was entirely non-military.

It had not been agreed in the talks that Washington's technical specialists could work inside Iran, but that was a natural consequence of the consortium proposal. Officials asserted on multiple occasions they had achieved a deal with Washington's diplomat the American negotiator only for the agreement to disintegrate due to "spoilers in Washington".

Existing Status

Iran's diplomats declared the partnership proposal was now no longer available, but it seems quite possible the proposal could be reintroduced in certain ways if discussions resume.

The American leader recently claimed he had been obtaining communications that Iran desired to resume discussions, but confidentially Tehran representatives state they are not yet obtaining coherent offers from the United States either explicitly or from significant local go-betweens, such as Qatar, Egypt, Oman and Saudi Arabia. The Iran's state department has been accused of non-responsiveness in the aftermath of Washington's unmediated tactics, but Tehran asserts dialogue is not part of a performance.

Diplomatic Stance

In his address to the gathering, aimed to depict the US as a controlling nation that exploits the idea of worldwide standards, the foreign minister declared the 12-day war revealed the clash could not be settled by military means. He said the assaults began with a US demand for an unconditional Iranian surrender and concluded with an unconditional call for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is certain the first strikes by Israel were executed with total Washington understanding and collaboration, making trust difficult to rebuild.

Dialogue Remains the Final Solution

The foreign minister stated: "It was not Iran that had fled negotiations; it was the United States and the western countries that had consistently attempted to impose their will during the talks. Dialogue can still be active and remains the final solution to address disputes, but its standards, regulations and principles must be respected."

"If they speak to the Iranian people with the approach of respect and respect, they will receive a response in the same approach."

Restoration and Rebuilding

In what is portrayed by Tehran representatives as the struggle of repair and reconstruction, the foreign minister claimed he was certain Iran's defence capabilities "are considerably enhanced than prior to 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been rebuilt. We acquired numerous insights from this engagement; we have identified our personal limitations and the vulnerabilities of the opponent."

He added: "We successfully passed this engagement. Our enrichment knowledge, which they aimed to obliterate, continues to exist. The installations and equipment, if destroyed, will be reconstructed; what is crucial is the resolve of the nation of Iran and then the unity of the country that they sought to undermine, but were unable to destroy. The Iranian people have become stronger, more cohesive, and more backing of the government and the state in the wake of this invasion."
